Six Lyndonville students were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) at the Orleans Career and Technical Education (CTE) Center in November. Congratulations to: Andrew Austin (Diesel Technology & Heavy Equipment), Austin Bentley (Security and Law Enforcement), Madison Davis (Allied Health), Emma Freas (Welding), Kendyll Kidney (Cosmetology) and Alyssa Prine (Health Occupations Technology). Students were honored in front of their teachers, families and school district representatives.
To qualify for induction, students had to maintain an 89.5 grade average in their career and technical education programs and an 84.5 average at their high school; have superior attendance, exemplary behavior and a recommendation from a faculty member; and be a member in good standing with SkillsUSA. They must also represent the four pillars of NTHS: scholarship, leadership, service and character.
Out of all the high school students in the United States, NTHS students comprise 1.6% of that population. Well done!
