Rehearsals for Lyndonville High School’s musical, “Newsies,” are underway! The performance will take place Friday, March 21, and Saturday, March 22, at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, March 23, at 2 p.m. Tickets will be $5 each at the door, and they will also be available online: CUR8 - Newsies Details. Saturday's performance will also include a dinner and a show package in conjunction with the Lyndonville Music Boosters.
Based on the 1992 motion picture and inspired by a true story, “Newsies” features a Tony Award-winning score by Allen Menken (“Little Shop of Horrors,” “Sister Act”) and Jack Feldman, and a book by Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein (“Kinky Boots”). Featuring the now classic songs, “Carrying the Banner,” “Seize the Day,” and “Santa Fe,” “Newsies” is packed with non-stop thrills and a timeless message, perfect for the whole family and every audience. The production features students in grades 7-12 and cameo appearances by some familiar faces! The audience will be impressed by this high-energy show. Join us at Lyndonville’s Stroyan Auditorium in March for this fantastic production!
