Statement Regarding Emergency Medical Response During a Contingency Budget
The Lyndonville Central School District is committed to protecting the health and safety of every person on school property.
While the District is operating under a contingency budget and must comply with all legal restrictions governing expenditures, those restrictions will never prevent the District from responding appropriately to a medical emergency. The District will not delay or withhold the use of emergency medical resources because of concerns related to the replacement cost of supplies or equipment. The preservation of life and protection of health will always be the District's first priority.
Nothing in this statement alters the District's obligation to operate within the requirements of a contingency budget. Rather, it affirms that compliance with those requirements will never come at the expense of providing an appropriate emergency response when someone's life or health is at risk.
